Under the leadership of trombonist Paul Sykes, the band; previously known as the Ron Young Orchestra have built up a keen following since it started life as a rehearsal band in 1979. Paul began his musical career as a military musician. The Paul Sykes Big Band is a versatile swing ensemble performing both concerts and dances recreating the sounds and atmosphere of the big band era.
